Founding my own company- Create Together Theatre

During the summer, my nanny mom, Maggie Tomas, presented me with the idea of creating a safe backyard theatre camp for the neighborhood pod of children who had been involved with the show. I loved the idea and took the opportunity, creating a summer Dr. Seuss theatre camp that was encored by a Winnie the Pooh camp in the fall. These camps allowed the children a safe and exciting space to play theatre games, design and make their own costumes, and rehearse and perform a short play for their parents.

This experience was beyond rewarding for me, as I discovered just how passionate I am about creating opportunities for children to experience theatre. This led to me feeling as though I wanted to open my own company under which I could produce more camps. (Summer 2021 camp info will be shared at a later date on the CTT website.)

On top of producing camps, I decided to use CTT to pursue a passion project of mine. This script for Last Train to Nibroc was introduced to me in 2018 by my now boyfriend, Jonah Smith, and I fell in love with it and hoped to one day be a part of a production of it. This show has been loosely in the works since May 2019. With opening Create Together Theatre to continue children’s theatre camps, I figured it may as well serve as the perfect avenue through which to produce her first show!
